Themed Sketchbook: 'The Healing Garden' 2024; 1 Year course: starts September 9th 2024: Deposit

In this lovely year long course, we are going to create a sketchbook/s based on the theme, ‘The Healing Garden’. Gardening and herbal medicine are two long term passions of mine, and I have long fancied creating a sort of sketchbook ‘herbal’ combing those interests

We will by begin by setting up or even creating your own sketchbook. Then each month we will look at different techniques and ideas for creating sketchbook pages. These will include making stencils,stamps, rubbing plates, collagraph plates, gelli printing, screen printing, collage, drawing, photo transfers and working with text and journaling. And for this theme some research too!

We will look at 2 different plants every three months, wityh the third mpnth being set aside to work back into the books we have done. As much as I can I’ll tie that in with what’s in the garden at the time. Expect recipes for food, salves, lotions and potions, as well as ideas for preserving the plants and adding them into our sketchbooks 

The course will be delivered into a Facebook classroom, with new videos added every fortnight (between 2 and 4 usually). 

Cost is £40/month, payable as £120 quarterly. Your deposit acts as the payment for your first quarter
