Sketchbooks at the Studio: Monthly: Starts September 2023: deposit

Come and share our garden and the studio for this lovely year long course. This course will run once a month on the 4th  Saturday of the month, starting in September 2023. We will be working on a themed sketchbook and the 2023/2024 theme will be ‘The Healing Garden’

Cost  will be £100 for the day (billed every other month at £200) , which includes all your materials, homemade lunch, drinks and snacks. There will be a max of  5 students, ensuring you have space and plenty of tutor time. Your first payment is your deposit and pay for the first 2 months. It will also include membership of an online group following the same theme

Each month we will look at different techniques and ideas for creating sketchbook pages. These will include making stencils, stamps, rubbing plates, collagraph plates, gelli printing, screen printing, collage, drawing, photo transfers and working with text and journaling. And for this theme some research too!

We will sart by setting up or even creating your own sketchbook. Each month we will look at different plants , and as much as I can I’ll tie that in with what’s in the garden at the time. Expect recipes for food, salves, lotions and potions, as well as ideas for preserving the plants and adding them into our sketchbooks

Please note we do have 2 dogs!! - so if you are dog averse, you woudl be wiser sticking to online options!!
